Got to spend some time with the Chings over Thanksgiving weekend! Jenny's been one of my closest friends since high school and it's crazy to think about all the major life events I've gone through with her. I still remember her sharing with me about how Jack first asked her out at KFC after many weekends of spending time together playing nerts and other games after church. Then one year, we all purchased annual passes to Disneyland and right before our passes expired, Jack ended up proposing to her at a Billy Hill and the Hillbillies performance (our favorite show to watch during lunch thanks to the Fong family). Fast forward past a fantasmic Disney-themed wedding, a couple of moves, and now they have a beautiful and joyful daughter as well as a cozy home that I love to visit! I'm also lucky that I get to see them at church and small group every week :)
This Thanksgiving morning my sister and I went outside on a walk around our neighborhood to catch up. We ended up returning home with an assortment of different leaves - it's truly amazing the range of colors you can collect just up and down your street! Thought I'd lay them out to appreciate the these beautiful fall colors a little more.
Last Sunday Clay and I gave our friends from church, Grace and Brian, a quick family photo shoot right before service. It was great capturing some portraits for them just around their complex as well as on a small trail nearby. So neat to see how much their children Alyssa and Cooper have grown - especially since I have known both since they've been in their mommy's tummy! Cooper isn't even one yet, but Alyssa will be turning four years old soon!
One of my best friends Jenny threw her daughter Maddie a fairy-themed birthday party to celebrate her first year! Baby Maddie's party had a vibrant pixie photo booth with life-size flowers and little red mushroom stools (all hand-crafted by her grandma Jean and fairy godmother Joanne). Give her a fresh flower crown, some tiny wings, and you get the most adorable one-year-old fairy! One thing I love about this fairy princess: she loves to point at all things with her little pointer finger anytime and anywhere!
I'll be going on a missions trip to Nepal / India with my church, Breakaway Christian Fellowship, at the end of December for two weeks! This past weekend Clay and I planned a camping trip for our team to spend more bonding time together. All you really need is one afternoon & one evening for a complete camping excursion! We got to pitch up our tents among the redwood trees, hike a trail that lead us to some white fallow deer, and share an evening of s'mores & testimonies around a campfire.
Just capturing as I go.
